CX418 Thermal Label Printer

1.Thermal printers can be divided into Thermal Line Dot System and Thermal Serial Dot System according to the arrangement of their thermal elements. Thermal Serial Dot System is an early product, mainly used in some occasions where the printing speed is not high, and domestic authors have used it in their products. Thermal Line Dot System is a technology in the 1990s, its printing speed is much faster than column thermal, the fastest speed has reached 230mm/sec. In order to achieve high-speed thermal printing, in addition to selecting high-speed thermal print heads, a corresponding control board must also be used to cooperate with it.

2.The principle of a thermal printer is to cover a light-colored material (usually paper) with a layer of transparent film, and then heat the film for a period of time to turn it into a dark color (usually black, but also blue). The image is generated by heating, causing a chemical reaction in the film. This chemical reaction is carried out at a certain temperature. High temperature will accelerate this chemical reaction. When the temperature is lower than 60°C, the film takes a long time, even several years, to become dark; and when the temperature is 200°C, this reflection will be completed in a few microseconds. The thermal printer selectively heats the thermal paper at a certain position, thereby producing corresponding graphics. Heating is provided by a small electric heater on the print head that is in contact with the thermal material. The heaters are arranged in square dots or strips and are logically controlled by the printer. When driven, a graphic corresponding to the heating element is generated on the thermal paper. The same logic circuit that controls the heating element also controls the paper feed, so that graphics can be printed on the entire label or paper.

3.Thermal printing technology was first used in fax machines. Its basic principle is to convert the data received by the printer into a dot matrix signal to control the heating of the thermal unit, and to heat and develop the thermal coating on the thermal paper. Thermal printers have been widely used in POS terminal systems, banking systems, medical equipment and other fields. Thermal printers can only use special thermal paper. The thermal paper is coated with a layer of coating that changes color when exposed to heat, which is similar to photosensitive film, but this layer of coating will change color when heated. With this characteristic of thermal coating, thermal printing technology has emerged.
